Filtered !: That's the Kia Stinger, the Korean who will face the "big" Germans

As we have been commenting on, a few weeks ago that Kia has been tearing up with teasers and promises and an eye, because today they have released the first images of what they have christened Stinger.

This is a sports sedan with rear-wheel drive that will debut in a few hours with all the details but the truth is that there will be neither much nor new in the Hyundai Group because we already know the K900 and although we go in another direction, the bells sound Just as well.

At an event held today, Kia Motors America (KMA) captured all eyes during the world premiere of the new Kia Stinger at the North American International Auto Show.

The Stinger promises to be the most productive production vehicle in the history of the company and that is why it launches a new design language under the supervision of Peter Schreyer, chief designer of Kia Motors who has been accompanied by his Talented team of designers from Frankfurt.

The Stinger was created under the idea of a Gran Turismo based on the concept GT that was first presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011. But the GT ignited the passion within the brand and during the last five years has From being a fantasy to a reality.

It's more youthful and much more attractive, is not it? As you can see, its line is quite spectacular, thanks in part to the fall that we hit the rear that reminds us a lot of the Audi A7, a model in which seems to be inspired by this Korean signed partially by Peter Schreyer.

The mechanics are a mystery but there seems to be diesel range and gasoline with engine starting from the 2.0 liter turbo four-cylinder to the 3.3-liter V6. This has to be taken with tweezers because it will depend on the markets. In North America there will only be two gasoline models, a 2.0-liter 255 hp and 352-Nm torque and a 3.3-liter V6 turbo with 365 hp and 494 Nm of torque. In the US market, both models will be exclusively associated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and total drive, although this will be optional.

The new Kia model will be packed with brand new features, from electronically adjustable damping - Dynamic Stability Damping Control - an electric power steering with five endurance modes and plenty of standard safety features.

The Stinger will go on sale this summer although it will still have to outline prices and dates - although the first units of the model will arrive in the US for summer.
